One more Pinot Noir, this time from a vineyard planted in 1961 by Eugène Muller and Jean Koeberle, David's great grandfather and grandfather, founders of the domaine.

Intensive, deep purple colour with ruby sheen.
Aromas of blackberry, black cherry with an uplifting kick of fig and kirsch.
The attack is a powerful p(b)unch of black fruit, rose blossom and bay leaves.
Moderate lively acidity with resolved plush tannins.
One month of whole bunch maceration was a daring move but the result is exhilarating.
