De Wieringer boon is een traditionele Nederlandse boon van het voormalige eiland Wieringen. In tegenstelling tot veel andere bonen behoudt de Wieringer boon na het koken zijn bijzondere lichtbruine tekening. De smaak van de boon is hartig en verfijnd. De bonen zijn goed geschikt voor gebruik in stoofschotels, soepen, salades en zelfs chili con carne. Goed wassen voor gebrui en week de bonen minimaal 12 uur. Gooi daarna het water weg en kook de bonen in vers water (ca. 3 cm onder water zetten) in ca. 45-60 minuten gaar.
