Van alle noten bevat de walnoot het meeste omega-3, een gezond vetzuur dat je lichaam niet zelf kan maken, maar wel nodig heeft. Deze walnoten zijn afkomstig van de familie Vicol . Een echt familiebedrijf gevestigd in Moldavië. Het grootste deel van de walnotenopbrengst is afkomstig van de eigen notengaarden in het Leova district in het zuiden van Moldavië. Daarnaast worden er ook walnoten van lokale kleinere boeren verwerkt. De verwerking vindt sinds 2001 plaats in een eigen moderne productiefaciliteit op 20 kilometer afstand van de hoofdstad Chisinau.
