De Wooden Dolls van Alexander Girard zijn een grote familie houten figuren die mensen en dieren voorstellen. Girard ontwierp ze in 1952 voor eigen gebruik als decoratieve objecten in zijn huis in Santa Fe. Deze originelen, die deel uitmaken van de door het Vitra Design Museum beheerde nalatenschap van Girard, hebben als voorbeeld gediend voor de huidige heruitgaven. De Wooden Dolls zijn exacte replica's van de originelen van Alexander Girard en worden nog steeds met de hand vervaardigd en beschilderd. En zelfs al zijn de onderlinge verschillen slechts zeer gering: elk houten figuurtje is een uniek, individueel object, letterlijk de enige in zijn soort.
