Seitan is een heerlijk eiwitrijk alternatief in allerlei maaltijden! Seitan is gemaakt van tarwe-eiwit. Dit zorgt voor een hoog eiwitgehalte en een vleesachtige structuur. Oorspronkelijk komt seitan uit Japan en wordt het zeer veel gebruikt in de macrobiotische keuken. Seitan kan gebakken en gestoofd worden en is daarom zowel in roerbakgerechten als stoofschotels erg lekker. Probeer het ook een keer te frituren en serveer dit als hapje met een lekkere dipsaus; bijvoorbeeld met chilisaus!
