De Auxerrois - Wijnhoeve De Kleine Schorre is een mooie Zeeuwse verrassing gemaakt van Auxerrois.
De Auxerrois, familie van de Pinot Blanc, is een verfijnde en levendige wijn. De wijn bevat zachte tonen van appel, citrus, en subtiele accenten van perzik en peer. Door het lage zuurgehalte blijft de wijn soepel en goed in balans.
Goed te combineren met gebakken vis, zoals een slibtong, Zeeuwse kreeft en mosselen.
Alcohol: 12,5%
Over de wijnmaker:
De Kleine Schorre bevindt zich in Schouwen Duivenland, Zeeland. Door de zeewind kun je hier een licht minerale / zilte toets in de wijnen terugvinden.
Door de zonnige ligging in Nederland kunnen de druiven goed rijpen en door het zeeklimaat zijn ze iets beter beschermd tegen vorst.
Oorspronkelijk werd op het landgoed andere fruitsoorten geteeld maar toen de laatste generatie, Johan Van der Velde het stokje van zijn vader ging overnemen is de focus op de druiventeelt gekomen.
Dit heeft zo goed uitgepakt dat ze inmiddels met 14 hectare een van de grootste wijnmakers van Nederland zijn en de volledige focus op druiventeelt en het wijnmaken hebben.
Op de kalkrijke grond staat de klassieke druivenrassen Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris en Rivaner aan gepland
