In 'Salto' wordt bij het jongere broertje van Álfur, Eiki, autisme vastgesteld en daardoor verandert alles. Álfurs ouders gooien hun hele leven om: opeens mag er geen plastic meer worden gebruikt in huis en eten ze geen gluten meer. Tot overmaat van ramp hoort Álfur dat ze misschien willen gaan verhuizen. Het maakt hem ontzettend kwaad, want hij is ervan overtuigd dat er helemaal niets mis is met Eiki. Álfur zet dan ook alles op alles om dat aan te tonen.
