De Essencia 1999 werd door Steven Spurrier van magazine Decanter in 2005 bekroond tot de beste dessertwijn ter wereld.
Helder, lichtgeel van kleur met een gouden glans. De geur is fris en we herkennen gedroogd tropisch fruit. Ook het tropische fruit, zoals perzik en abrikoos is duidelijk aanwezig in de verfijnde smaak. Een heerlijk frisse dessertwijn. Frisse, edelzoete wijn die uitstekend geschikt is om te drinken bij salades van vis en kip met krullen van eendenlever. Heerlijk bij frisse dessserts met perzik, mango en tarte tatin. Of lekker drinken als aperitief.
