16 maanden op hout gefermenteerd en gerijpt in de prachtige ondergrondse kalkgrotten van het Chateau. Dan ontstaat een stevige, krachtige, volle Bordeauxwijn, die toch al soepel genoeg is om direct te drinken, maar die je ook gerust tot 20 jaar kan laten liggen. Elk jaar weer iets lekkerder! Voor de liefhebbers heb ik ook nog enkele flessen vintage 2011 en 2012 in voorraad. Omdat Haux in de Cadillac ligt heeft de wijn de wat lager gewaardeerde appellation Côtes de Bordeaux, maar qua smaak kan hij zich goed meten met de veel duurdere appellations uit de Medoc en St. Emilion. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit voor nog geen 15 euro.
Deze wijn is gemaakt van de druiven Merlot (75%) en Cabernet Sauvignon (25%).
