Rooibos is afkomstig van een plant die alleen in Zuid-Afrika groeit, in de omgeving van het Cedar-gebergte. De naaldachtige plant geeft een volle, iets zoete ronde smaak en een mooie rode kleur. Rooibos bevat van nature geen cafeïne en vormt daardoor de ideale basis voor een heerlijk ontspannende thee zonder natuurlijke aroma's. De doosjes van Ekoplaza huismerk thee zijn gemaakt van FSC karton en zijn volledig plastic vrij. De teatags (kaartjes) aan de theezakjes bevatten geen nietje en de zakjes zijn gemaakt van manillahennep en cellulose. Het theezakje is daardoor composteerbaar en kan inclusief teatag bij het GFT afval.
