Polderkefir is een kant en klare waterkefirdrank en bevat geen lactose of gluten. De subtiele smaak van polderkefir komt van 100% biologische ingrediënten: dadels, vijgen en een scheutje appelazijn, die tijdens het fermenteren hun smaak aan de drank afgeven. Deze polderkefir wordt op ambachtelijke wijze gemaakt: waterkefircultuur wordt samen met bovengenoemde ingrediënten toegevoegd aan water waarin biologische suiker is opgelost. Er ontstaat dan een fermentatieproces waarbij de suikers worden omgezet in de voor de mens nuttige probiotica. Probiotica remt de groei van schadelijke bacteriën en de nuttige bacteriën zorgen voor een betere opname van voedingstoffen uit ons voedsel.
