Fleur van der Weel laat hem opgroeien in een warme, veilige wereld met liefdevolle berenouders en allerlei dieren waar hij eindeloos mee kan spelen.
In 1950 schreef Annie M.G. Schmidt het eerste versje over het beertje Pippeloentje voor de Kinderpagina van Het Parool. De verfrissende eenvoud sprak meteen aan en Pippeloentje is in boekvorm al bijna 60 jaar een succes.
