Waar kom ik vandaan?
Mijn cacaobonen zijn Direct Trade verkregen van Cacao Bisiesto: een organisatie, gerund door Giff Laube en Jose Enrique Herrera. Giff en Jose zijn helemaal Mesjokke van cacao. Zij kopen verse cacao op van kleine boeren in de regio om die vervolgens vakkundig te fermenteren en drogen. Giff houdt van funky jazz muziek, terwijl Jose Enrique meer Mesjokke gaat op de exotische klanken van Santana. In de Utrechtse Mesjokke chocoladefabriek ben ik vervolgens –van bean-to-bar- vakkundig geroosterd, ontvliesd, vermalen en getempereerd. Daarna ben ik helemaal op smaak gebracht met heerlijke specerijen. Wil je hier meer over weten, check dan onze website, of geef even een belletje, dan leggen we het uit.
