Description
Laag alcoholisch
Ketelbinkie is een laag alcoholische New England IPA. Het moutrecept bestaat uit 1/3 haver, 1/3 tarwe en 1/3 gerst. Dit maakt het bier enorm troebel en geeft het een fluweelzacht mondgevoel. Door toevoeging van onvergistbare melksuiker en een lage vergistingsgraad heeft het bier relatief veel restsuikers, waardoor het zeer smaakvol is voor een bier dat weinig alcohol bevat.
Hoppen
Er wordt geen bitterhop gebruikt tijdens het brouwproces waardoor het Ketelbinkie geringe bitterheid bevat. Royale hoeveelheden Citra, Rakau en Lemondrop hop in de whirpool en tijdens de vergisting geven een fruitig hoparoma aan dit verfrissende bier.
