Jodium komt in de natuur met name voor in de zee en daarom zijn de beste natuurlijke voedingsbronnen wat jodium betreft alle producten die uit de zee komen. Dit jodiumproduct is een 'whole food' en geen extract. De capsule bevat het hele knotswier met naast jodium ook sporten van andere natuurlijk voorkomende mineralen. Jodium is een essentieel spoorelement dat een belangrijke rol speelt in de schildklierfunctie en is nodig voor de productie van schildklierhormonen. Tevens draagt jodium bij aan het behoud van een gezonde huid en bevordert het de energiestofwisseling. Aanbevolen dosering is 1 capsule per dag, bij een maaltijd met water innemen. Deze niet overschrijden. Voor zwangeren wordt Elke Dag Mama geadviseerd met 150 µg jodium.
