Raaf heeft vette pech. Ze is geschorst op school, haar vader staat ergens vast in het buitenland en tot overmaat van ramp is er een lekkage in hun appartement. Met haar moeder gaat ze daarom tijdelijk in een oude caravan op camping ‘Het kleine heelal’ wonen.
In de herfst is er niet veel te beleven – zeker niet als haar moeder gewoon moet werken en haar beste vriendin Miracle op school zit, zonder haar. Toch heeft Raaf geen kans om zich te vervelen. Want wat doet Nicolaas, de zoon van de campingbaas, in het mysterieuze bos achter de caravans? En waarom doet haar moeder zo geheimzinnig over haar vader, die maar niet te bereiken is?
