Voor deze absolute top Port worden uitsluitend de druiven gebruikt uit de Quinta dos Malvedos wijngaard. Deze hoger gelegen wijngaard profiteert hier maximaal van zijn natuurlijke omstandigheden om zo de beste druiven voort te kunnen brengen.
Omschrijving en details
Klassieke donkere diepe kleur. Nog uitermate gesloten in de neus. Enorme concentratie. Bijna “dik-stroperig”. Mooie geconcentreerde fruittonen, bessen, kruisbessen, iets van maggi aroma en chocolade. De smaak is vol en krachtig met een rond mondgevoel. De rijpe tannine is goed verwerkt in de wijn. De smaak houdt lang aan.
Na lange flesrijping ontstaan er meer verschillende geuren in de Port en krijgt hij meer diepgang. Schenk de wijn door een zeefje om eventueel depot te filteren. Perfecte begeleider van een mooie sigaar en een kop koffie na de maaltijd. Tevens de perfecte afsluiter van uw feestmaal, eventueel in combinatie met chocolademousse.
Kaas tip: Een echte oude Hollandse kaas zoals de 3 jaar oude Beemster is hier prachtig bij.
Deze Port kan zeker 25 jaar opgelegd worden en is bekroond met de Gold medal op International Wine & Spirit Competition 2008
