Description
1902. Op het oude gevangeniseiland Futuria is een pretpark waar alleen de rijken naartoe kunnen. Wanneer
er een groep straatkinderen wordt opgepakt en naar het veer richting Futuria wordt gevoerd, moeten hun rivaliserende leiders Kraai en Achilles tot hun eigen afschuw samenwerken om de kinderen te bevrijden. Maar met welke duistere reden zijn ze daarnaartoe gebracht?
Op het eiland woont ook Libby met haar ouders. Haar moeder is ernstig ziek en haar vader werkt aan een geheimzinnig project in zijn laboratorium. Op de avond voor Halloween nodigt hij de rijksten van de stad uit voor een bezoek aan de oude gevangenis. Daar heeft hij een griezelige carrousel laten bouwen, ‘om de jeugd te lokken’… Als Libby ontdekt wat haar vader met de kinderen van plan is, weet ze dat er geen tijd te verliezen is om Kraai en Achilles te helpen. Of is het al te laat om het leven van alle kinderen te redden…?
