Met dit pakket krijg je alles wat je nodig hebt om je vogel te weven. Je hebt echter ook een lijmstift nodig. Het pakket bevat een stapsgewijze handleiding, papieren onderdelen die klaar zijn om te weven, extra onderdelen om je vogel af te werken en een handvat om je vogel te laten vliegen.
De Deense architect Henning Holmsted had een bekwame hand voor tekenen en papiersnijden. In 1960 combineerde hij deze vaardigheden met zijn interesse in vogels en creëerde hij de eerste vogel van geweven papier.
Lars Holmsted erfde de scherpe schaar van zijn vader en er kwamen meer vogels tot leven. Vandaag weven zijn zonen ook vogels en zo vliegt de familietraditie verder.
