Over de ontwerper:
Floris Hovers (1976) studeerde aan de Design Academy en heeft zijn atelier en werkplaats in Raamsdonksveer. Hij brengt zijn ontwerpen terug naar de absolute essentie, zonder dat het object aan kracht inboet. Zijn gevoel voor kleur, compositie en vorm komen tot uiting in zijn speelse ontwerpen.
Floris kreeg internationale bekendheid door zijn iconische Archetoys, deze miniatuurvoertuigen worden geproduceerd door het Italiaanse designlabel Magis, en zijn opgenomen in de vaste collectie van het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
In een jaar tijd heeft Floris elke dag een tractor met de hand vervaardigt voor zijn project ‘Daily Tractor’. Onlangs heeft Floris in eigen beheer een boek uitgebracht over het project, met daarin alle 365 tractors die hij maakte.
