De laatste planeet waar de kleine prins terechtkomt is de aarde, waar hij vrienden wordt met een vos. Dan ontmoet hij een piloot die midden in een woestijn met zijn vliegtuig is gestrand. Acht dagen lang zijn de kleine prins en de piloot samen. Het prinsje vertelt over zijn leven en over zijn wonderbaarlijke reis. Maar op de achtste dag is het water op en moeten ze op zoek naar een bron…
