Chiazaad zit bomvol nuttige voedingsstoffen. Chiazaad is afkomstig van de chia-plant. De bloemen van deze plant produceren hele kleine zaadjes die wel wat doen denken aan maanzaad. Deze plant werd al door de Maya's en Azteken gebruikt als voedsel en als medicijn. De zaadjes stonden bij deze volkeren bekend om hun energieboost en uithoudingsvermogen. Volgens de overlevering kon een krijger van de Azteken het een hele dag uithouden op een handje chia-zaad.De verpakking is gemaakt van polypropeen en soms een klein laagje polyetheen. Beiden zijn volledig recyclebaar.
Gebruiker Tips: Ten minste houdbaartot op de verpakking vermelde datum. Koel en droog bewaren.
Suggesties: Chiazaad is door de neutrale smaak gemakkelijk te verwerken in smoothies, salades of energierepen.
