Designer Oiva Toikka's liefde voor kleur is aanwezig in zijn Helle ontwerp uit de jaren 1980. Helle werd oorspronkelijk ontworpen voor de Arabia Pro Arte collectie en siert nu de vierkante borden en serveerschalen van de Oiva Toikka collectie. De nieuwe blauwe en bruine kleuren passen perfect bij Iittala's andere collecties, zoals Teema of Teema Tiimi, en vooral bij de kleuren linnen, vintage blauw en vintage bruin. Het bord van A5-formaat is ideaal voor ontbijt of lunch.

Oiva Toikka (1931-2019) is één van de grootste namen van de Finse glaskunst. Zijn fantasierijke, gedurfde glaskunst heeft als startpunt mainstream Scandinavisch design. De stijl van Toikka is duidelijk terug te zien in de gebruiksvoorwerpen die hij ontwerpt. Vaak vinden ze hun oorsprong in de traditionele strakke lijnen en puurheid van de Finse designesthetiek. Hij werkte niet alleen met glas, maar ontwierp ook decors, mode en kunststof woonaccessoires.
