De Oosterscheldekreeft is wereldvermaard omwille van zijn zachte en fijne smaak. Het is een uniek en exclusief product waar men terecht trots op is. Duurzaamheid is een zeer belangrijk punt bij de vangst van Oosterscheldekreeften. Een verse Oosterscheldekreeft is een ware delicatesse en een absolute aanrader om eens te proeven.
CULINAIR
Bij het klaarmaken van kreeft is er één belangrijke regel: kreeft moet vers zijn. Als je de kreeft in het kokende water doet, doe het dan mijn zijn kop eerst. Op die manier is het diertje meteen dood en hoeft het niet af te zien. Een kreeft moet ongeveer 7 minuten koken (de grotere exemplaren iets langer). Bakken of grillen is ook een optie. Hierbij is het aangewezen om de kreeft overlangs in twee te snijden. Eventueel kunt u voor het bakken de kreeft een minuutje koken. Het is ook mogelijk om een kreeft te barbecuen.
